Meet the Inspector

Rex Erbes

I am a professional property inspector, certified by the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI).  I have acquired the technical knowledge to fairly and thoroughly assess the condition of the properties I inspect, so you can be confident about the findings in the report you receive.  With over 25 years of experience in customer service, it is vital to me to focus on what’s the most important to you.  I will interact with you before, during and after the inspection to understand what you need, prepare you for the appointment, point out areas of note along the way and interpret any sections of the final report that you would like to understand better.  Although I am serious about the inspection I do for you, I take a relaxed approach to working with my clients, in an effort to make the whole process as seamless and stress-free as possible.  I look forward to serving you!

R. Rex Erbes, CPI

Trained & Experienced

I am a Professional Inspector CPI® trained by InterNACHI—the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (www.NACHI.org)—which is the world's largest nonprofit association of residential and commercial property inspectors that provides education, training, and certification.

Additionally, I have an R5 license from the International Code Council (ICC) which allows me to perform Denver rental inspections and inspections for all one and two unit properties.

I am registered to perform professional Radon Measurements through the National Radon Proficiency Program (NRPP).

I have passed all Home Inspector Exams, I always follow a comprehensive Standards of Practice, abide by a strict Code of Ethics, and take accredited Continuing Education courses each year in order to maintain their membership in good standing.

In order to become certified, I was required to take inspection courses related to the interior and exterior of the home, including the common and major areas of concern for home buyers, such as the foundation, heating and cooling, roof, plumbing, and electrical systems. I am a graduate of the InterNACHI® School, the world's only home inspector college that offers the nationally-accredited Home Inspector Certificate Program.

Buying a home is typically the biggest investment you will ever make, so it's important to get a home inspection because the inspector can find and document defects that may or may not be evident to you.  Such defects can range from simple replacements or repairs to severe damage or safety and health concerns.

My Pledge To You

My pledge to you is that I will be:

Reliable – I will do what I say I will do, (including showing up on time and getting a report out to you as soon as promised), fulfilling every intent of our Agreement.

Knowledgeable – As an inspector certified by the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI), I have completed their rigorous training course.  I am certified in multiple areas of inspections and will continue to acquire new technical skills, as well as complete Continuing Education.

Ethical - I'll inspect your property as if it were my own, but work in your best interests, adhering to the InterNACHI Code of Ethics (see link).

Respectful – I will take great care not to disturb or damage your property in any way. I will not disturb or rearrange any of your personal belongings.

Balanced – I will provide a fair and balanced report that doesn’t overstate or underemphasize defects.  For any issues, noted, I will indicate the severity of each and how critical it is to repair or replace now.

Thorough – I will invest as much time as it takes to thoroughly inspect the structure and all critical systems, complying with the InterNACHI Standards of Practice.

Prompt - I’ll email you a detailed and understandable report with pictures no later than 24 hours after completing your inspection.

Responsive – I will make sure your needs are met by answering your questions before, during and after the inspection.
